A special message from the President:
Board to ask membership to consider changes to bylaws, approve other organization proposals
Hello, everyone! Well, spring has sprung here. In town, the blossoms are so lovely to see. As you will read, the board has proposed a number of changes, and we wanted to be sure to give you an opportunity to review them before our General Meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the Durango Arts Center.

I also hope you will support our upcoming fund raisers, listed below.  I know the various committees and individuals are working hard to make our year a success!

I am looking forward to seeing you all at our meeting!

Best wishes,
Carol Treat, President DFA

Please follow these links for the proposed changes and rationale behind them:

Knock on the Speakeasy Door, for All That Jazz,
the fifth-annual Ya Ya Sisterhood Luncheon on May 10

A couple of seats are still available for the annual Ya Ya Sisterhood Luncheon, and wouldn't it be fabulous to have a full house? A sold-out event? Susie Ammann and Carol Bruno and their committee members have been working very hard to make this a fantastic event. Join your girlfriends for All That Jazz on Saturday, May 10, at Carol Treat's speak-easy at 51 Cliffs Edge Drive in the Glacier Club. Starts at 11 a.m. Check of $50 reserves your spot.

To get there: Take U.S. Highway 550 to Mile Marker 39. Turn into the Glacier Club. Follow the road around the golf course, staying left on the road. Take the very first righ, and go down the hill to Cliffs Edge Drive on the second left. The Gate will be open. Call Susie at 375-7925 or Carol Bruno at 259-0373 for more information.

She offers a lower impact, slower class with salsa, cumia, cha cha and a little bit of rock-n-roll to music that is, perhaps, a little more familiar to our generation. Please let Karyn know you plan to attend at kgabaldon@rmi.net.
